Filmtech, LLC announces combination with Main Tape, Inc.

On April 28, 2009, Filmtech LLC, a privately held Parsippany, NJ converter and marketer of surface protection films and accessories to the construction industry merged with Main Tape, Inc. of Cranbury, NJ. Main Tape is a portfolio company of Calvert Street Capital Partners. Main Tape is a leading manufacturer of surface protection films and papers for the industrial, construction, electronics and graphics industries. The combined company is in a unique position as a fully integrated U.S. based manufacturer of branded surface protection films to the construction market.

Walter Gotsch, the co-owner and current President of Filmtech has been named to the additional position of Chief Executive Officer of Main Tape. He will continue as an owner of the combined companies and will serve on its board of directors.

The new company is well positioned for aggressive organic growth and will continue to seek strategic add-on acquisitions that compliment the current product offering to the construction and industrial markets.
